Mixing Textures in Fabric
Since so much is offered, sometimes it’s fun to choose more than one. For instance, we never order a banana splits with just one topping, nor would we throw a dinner party only to invite one guest, We’d never grace a Chinese buffet to fill our plates with only sweet and sour chicken. When working on our designs, there are times when one fabric just won’t do so we mix it up! We put silks with chenille, we pair toile with floral, we add suede to printed linen, and we bounce polka dots off nubby chenille. Mixing textures gives greater dimension to your design — they also energiz…

This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use, as I will. I can waste it, or use it for good, but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it!
When Tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, and not loss: good, and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that i shall not regret the price I have paid for it.

In addition to providing insulation, solar heat control and day lighting, window coverings can help control two other types of energy: ultraviolet light and sound.
Ultraviolet Protection Ultraviolet light is an invisible part of sunlight. Because UV damages furnishings, it is sometimes called the invisible enemy. In time, it fades furniture, upholstery, wood floors, draperies, carpeting and artwork. Window coverings can be very effective in blocking UV rays.
Sound Absorption Soft window coverings can absorb up to 70% of sound energy, which helps quiet your home environment.

First and foremost, regular dusting and vacuuming of window coverings (every six months) will help to keep them dust free. It will also help your window treatments last longer, look fresher and maintain a like-new appearance for most blinds, shades, drapes, sheers and top treatments.
Vacuum window treatments with a brush attachment so you don't harm the fabric.
Compressed air or hair dryers on the non-heat setting can be used to blow dust off window coverings.
First, find out the fabric content. Some fabrics can be spot treated if they are lightly soiled.
Some fabrics, like sheers that are 100% polyester, can be hand laundered. Be sure and have your window covering provider go over the process of cleaning your sheer…

Opposites attract!
Complementary colors – colors found across from each other on the color wheel – make congenial color pairs. They make each other stand out and be noticed. Take red and green, for example. Why do you think butchers used green parsley to separate cuts of red meat in the butcher store? Because the green made the red look “redder” – and red meat appears fresher.
On a more pleasant train of thought, that’s why red and green look so great together during the Christmas holidays – They make each other look their best. Other color pairs: blue and orange, and yellow and purple. Have fun with them!
Be bold – but wise!
Don’t be afraid to introduce bold c…
