Wood shutters are made with solid hardwood. Composite shutters use an engineered material made from wood and other materials. Wood is a more flexible material that best suits living areas and bedrooms, composite is more flexible and suits bathrooms, kitchens, and sunrooms.
Do shutters help with insulation?
More than most treatments, because the frame fastens to the window casing and closes the gaps you get around a hanging treatment, and closed louvers put a solid layer between the glass and the room.
Can shutters cover sliding doors and wide windows?
